Workshop
  • The Association of Mathematics Teachers of India is organizing/is ready to organize workshops on certain topics, concepts clarification, innovative methods of teaching, preparation of question banks, orientation to solve non-routine problems for teachers and pupils. Though this has been going on, we propose to offer our services to the needy on nominal charges. Our panel of resource persons will be deployed with REASONABLE conveniences provided as detailed below.
    • Three days are the minimum period.
    • Level of classes (age group) – Primary, Middle, Secondary and Higher Secondary.
    • Number of participants about 30.
    • Rupees one thousand per period of 60 to 75 mts. per resource person with about min. 4 sessions per day + free boarding and lodging for three.
    • 2 – tier AC travel both ways + incidentals to / from home/venue. Air travel to nearest airport if distance is more than 750 kms and pick up from there and drop there.
    • Stationary – Xerox of materials, transparencies, LCD, OHP where possible.
    • Rs. 1000/- to The AMTI as honorarium.
  • Your patronage and sponsoring are earnestly solicited to enthuse us further in this yagna of rearing excellence in Mathematics Education. May we receive the proforma filled along with the cheque / DD payable to the AMTI, Chennai about a month ahead of the scheduled dates.
  • If at least 40 participants join for a particular level we can organise at Chennai itself with boarding arranged by us, with working lunch, tea two times and some reading materials at Rs.1250/- per participant for 4 days.
  • For outstation participants (limited number only) dormitory accommodation inclusive of breakfast and dinner at Rs. 750/- extra, per person for four days, will be charged. Institutions and Managements can contact for details. Tentative time – May.
Students' Workshop

    There shall be three levels of pupils -

  • Children of classes 5 & 6 - Primary
  • Children of classes 7 & 8 - Sub- Junior
  • Children of classes 9 to 11 - RMO Group
The classes will be organised only if at least 30 children per group register.
The classes will be as indicated below for each group.
  • The actual time will be 9-30 am to 4 pm.

  • The content of the sessions will be solving of routine and non-routine problems based on the syllabus of the respective classes introducing them to the nuances of problem solving with the data and for critical and creative thinking.
  • Charges for the entire session of about 20 classes will be Rs. 1250/- (For day scholars). Concessions may be considered in deserving cases.
  • The benefit of this exercise will be to face the talents exams. with confidence and be an introduction to IIT type of problem solving. They will be given test in solving of problems as in Indian and International Olympiads. A certificate of participation to each besides prizes for the three best in each group will also be given.
  • This will enable the child to perform better with greater self-confidence at the school level in all subjects besides scoring well in the conventional examinations.
  • For outstation participants (limited number only) dormitory accommodation inclusive of breakfast and dinner Rs. 750/- extra per person for the four days will be charged.
  • [Escorts who desire to stay to pay Rs. 2000/- each and those who stay for lunch and tea to pay Rs.200 per day.]


  • Refund:

    1. If cancellations are applied before the last date of registration 100%.
    2. If cancellations are applied 2 weeks before workshop 50%.
    3. If cancellations are applied later than two weeks before the workshop no refund.
  • We are also contemplating on regular concept clarification classes on week ends for class 5 to 10, pupils, teachers and parents too!
  • They will be from 15th June to 20th August and 5th October to 21st December 2017.
  • Time : 2 pm to 5pm on Saturdays only.
  • Charges : Rs. 100/- per day payable on the spot; snacks and tea will be provided. A maximum of 60 persons only can be admitted.
  • Prior registration of at least one week earlier is necessary to attend the classes as administrative arrangements have to be done.

Teacher's Workshop

Two Tea, Lunch and supply of a book will be provided by us. To meet these expenses and pay honorarium to the resource persons it is decided to fix a sum of Rs. 1250/- per candidate for the workshop as day scholars.
